It’s not enough to call ourselves leaders. It’s crucial to equip ourselves with the skills and knowledge needed to lead effectively in our mission. MOSES has been training organizers for over 30 years! We have the blue-print and invite you to invest in yourself and your community.

You will focus on mastering the basics of organizing, a cornerstone of effective leadership. We'll delve into the art of power building through relationships and understanding the concept of mutual self-interest.

Here's what you can expect from the training:

  1. Building Strong Relationships: Learn the importance of fostering genuine connections. Discover strategies for effective communication, active listening, and building trust.

  2. Understanding Mutual Self-Interest in Advocacy: Dive into the concept of mutual self-interest and discover how it can be harnessed to advocate for our causes. We'll explore strategies for rallying support and mobilizing resources to advance our shared goals.

  3. Organizing for Justice: Master the fundamentals of organizing as we prepare to advocate for health equity, criminal justice reform, and environmental justice. From grassroots campaigns to strategic planning, we'll equip you with the tools and techniques needed to lead with purpose and conviction.

Sometime between election day on Nov. 8th and the end of the year, a thinly veiled initiative by right-wing extremist lawmakers to make it harder for Black and low-income Michiganders to vote will most likely reach the legislature for a vote that can't be vetoed.
